
Hi, I’m Reem, Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and founder of Kalima Speech Pathology.
I have experience working across community health, early childhood settings, hospital mental health services and private practice, supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. I currently also work in mental health services, which has strengthened my understanding of the connection between communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
I have a special interest in neurodiversity-affirming practice, bilingual language development, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), feeding, and orofacial myology. I provide therapy in both English and Arabic, and I understand the importance of supporting children within their cultural and family context.
I believe every child has their own way of communicating. My role is to support your child to express themselves in a way that feels right for them, whether through speech, AAC, or connection. I work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to create supportive, consistent environments where children can thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, crafts, spending time with my cat, and exploring Melbourne cafés.
